Energy Audit

Micky told us that one of the most useful things we could do in the Energy Committee would be to get an energy audit completed -- the more we know about how much energy each building on campus uses, the better we'll be able to make energy-saving decisions.

We are currently looking into having PG&E conduct an audit and having Lucid Designs help us conduct an audit.

Hi Emily,
Thanks for your inquiry. What we offer is Building Dashboard, a way for
building occupants to become aware of energy use and enable behavior
changes. This is often the simplest and most cost effective energy
reduction strategy - it can be easier to change behavior than invest in
costly infrastructure changes (although retrofits are always helpful if
they can be achieved).
Please find a questionnaire attached. With the help of MA's facilities
dept. staff, please answer the questions as thoroughly as possible and
then we can evaluate whether your buildings are "Lucid-ready."
Thanks and let us know if you have any questions.
Michael

Hello. My name is Emily Cohodes and I am a junior at Marin Academy and a
member of Marin Academy's Energy Committee.
We are interested in reducing our energy use on campus by modifying
existing building structures. We heard about your services through Dai
Owen who said that you were involved in projects like ours.
We would like to do many things to reduce our energy use including looking
into putting lights on timers, replacing light bulbs, performing an energy
audit, and even installing solar panels on the roofs of our campus
buildings.
Could you please tell us what services you could offer us with our
projects?
We look forward to hearing from you.
