Youth Education and Development Program (YEDP) serves more than 150 at-risk youth in the Canal community. The holistic approach addresses students' academic, personal, and social needs. Our YEDP activities form a continuum to support youth from toddlerhood all the way through college graduation. We serve students in Elementary, Middle, and High school, as well as College.
Youth Courts are forums in which young people determine the consequences for misdemeanor offenses admitted to by their peers. Youth volunteers act as attorneys, bailiffs and jurors, while an adult judge presides over the court.
YLI builds communities where young people and their adult allies come together to create positive social change. YLI designs and implements community-based programs that provide youth with leadership skills in the areas of drug and alcohol abuse prevention, philanthropy, and civic engagement. Building on these real-world program experiences, YLI creates curricula and training programs that foster social change efforts across the nation, all while promoting best practices in the field of youth development.
Marin Education Fund believes everyone should have a chance at college. We advocate for equal educational opportunity for everyone in the Marin community and support students in need to successfully access, pursue and complete higher education.
The Next Generation Scholars believes equal access to higher education is the key to making positive change within our community. Their mission is to level the playing field by providing exceptional under served students with all the advantages available to those of privilege.

The State Board of Education (SBE) is the governing and policy-making body of the California Department of Education. The SBE sets K-12 education policy in the areas of standards, instructional materials, assessment, and accountability.
National Council of La Raza
The largest national Latino civil right and advocacy organization in the U.S., NCLR works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. NCLR's programmatic division, housed under its Education Programs Component, provides capacity-building assistance including curriculum, program, and professional development to support and strengthen education programming at the community-based level.
